Close knit Christmas in Streatham!

The Ninja Knitters have been busy round our neighbourhood this weekend. Streatham Common never looked so pretty! The local businesses on our road have been suffering lately due to the long term closure of the road and the Ninja Knitters decided to knit the community back together....

  1. O that is just lovely! I have only ever seen them knit something around trees in the North of Holland (quite far from where I live) and I had never before seen anything like it...! I didn't know at the time there was a whole ninja or urban knitting society out there... Looks brilliant!

    1. I know, I didn't either. Very cool! It really brightened our miserable street I can tell you! :-)

  2. Such a lovely idea. It is so inspiring to see how communities pull together to lend support. This definitely does shout out loud . A kind gesture so close to the festive season when businesses may be losing out on the vital pre-Christmas trade. Hope that road opens soon. x

    1. It's closed for 6 months sadly for them, although we love it because it's quite a busy road and makes it really quiet. It has made me realise that there is a sense of community in our area which I've never seen before.
